Is a SORBS listing a real problem?

SORBS has been shut down. SORBS was decommissioned by Proofpoint on June 5, 2024 and all its DNS zones were emptied. Queries now return nothing, so there is nothing to delist and no removal process exists. If a tool still “reports” SORBS, treat it as a stale/false result.

What to do

Remove any SORBS zones from your spam filters / DNSBL configuration so you stop querying a dead service.
Re-check your domain with my free Is My Site Hacked? checker and on live blacklists (Spamhaus, Sucuri, Google Safe Browsing).
If a live list flags you, get a full cleanup and delist there.
